Eoin Colfer is a genius at writing for young readers. Those familiar with the Artemis Fowl books will know just how intense of a rollercoaster that series was. It seems this book will be no different. I was a bit apprehensive about it at first because spin-offs of successful series are rarely good. However, the opening is solid and definitely hooked me in. I'm excited to dive back into the world of Artemis Fowl.
The prologue was chilling. The inclusive address helped achieve this effect. Then the first chapter talks about a character named Lord Teddy who just seems to be a hilariously evil antagonist. And of course, everything ties back to the Fowl family! And thus, we're introduced to the Fowl twins and, holy crap, this book is going to be WILD. I know it!
