I remember reading a few of the Artemis Fowl books when they first came out years ago, and I remember them being pretty entertaining. At first I thought this was a graphic novel based on the cover, but when I started reading, realized it was a regular book. The excerpt is cute, but not dumbed-down or anything (a pet peeve of mine in young adult literature). Overall, I think I'd read this. :)
