Wonderful Historical Fiction
The Fountains of Silence might be my favorite Ruta Sepetys book yet! I was completely transported to Madrid and I will definitely be constantly rereading this book.
This was my favorite historical fiction novel of 2020. Ruta Sepetys never misses the mark, and this book was no exception. I personally think that this novel is PAINFULLY underrated, and everyone, wheather you like historical fiction or not, should read this book. I had never heard of this time period of history, so it was as informative as it was entertaining. I grew attached to the characters by the end of the book as well.
The only thing I would have to say is that it was rather hard to get into the book at first because the writing style is different and not a regular style. However, once I got past the first few pages, I was completely in love with the story.
This cover is also one of my favorites!
