Sepetys has done it again. She has created a wonderful and interesting story that draws you in and shines a light on a often not thought about historical subject. I love her writing style and how much detail she really puts into it to make it historically accurate. While I do not think this was her best work it certainly was entertaining. I enjoyed the characters and the differences between them. It wasnt just a difference in culture, it was a difference in social class and upbringing and it truly made their chemistry one of the best parts of the book. This book wasnt just about stolen children, it was about politics, race, and wealth. One of the things that always stands out about Sepetys' work is that all the different storylines and small bits of information come together in an interesting and moving way. I highly recommend this moving story about Madrid and some of its dark history.
