You don’t have to be a history buff in order to enjoy the story

The Fountains of Silence By a Ruta Sepetys is set Madrid, Spain, in the year 1957. Admittedly, I am not very knowledgeable on the Spanish Civil War but from the first look of this novel it doesn’t appear that the reader be a history buff in order to enjoy the story. I like the (almost) monochromatic cover with the pop of red—but, in general, I take a greater liking to covers without realistic people. Overall this seems like a well written and enjoyable historical fiction novel.
