As always with this author's books, it is a period in history that I don't know much about, that wasn't really covered in much detail while I was in school. I love to read this type of story, learning more about these periods of history and things that happened to people and were kind of swept under the rug, or just never brought to the big light of public knowledge is something that I feel really is beneficial for my role as a high school librarian.
