Sounds like good historical fiction

The synopsis makes this sound like good historical fiction, and I’m glad to see it is about a time and place that hasn’t been over done in historical fiction (in my opinion). I never know what historical fiction will blow me away though, and it isn’t my go to genre, so I’d love to see more reviews of this one.
