Intriguing and well written!

Oh this was such an intriguing excerpt! I went in knowing I’d almost certainly w joy the writing, since I read and enjoyed Salt to the Sea. But this intro caught me even more than Salt to the Sea did. I’m adding this one to my TBR for sure!
