This looks amazing! I've recently been looking into "tasting" books from different areas of the world i.e. the kite runner, like water for chocolate and stumbled upon this one. Historical fiction and romance combined make it guarranteed to keep my attention while also exploring another part of history/the world.
The use of colour on the cover and the excerpt about discovering dark secrets has me intrigued. I wonder if the red paper and key tie into the novel.
