Alice is an interior designer in her second marriage to Nathan. Her first husband, Tom, disappeared unexpectedly and is presumed dead. Alice's best friend is Beth, a single mom. Alice begins to question her marriage, Nathan's loyalty, and her life after seeing some strange behavior from Nathan and indicators that her first husband might not actually be dead.
I liked this book, but didn't love it. There wasn't much substance to the plot. Everything was very predictable and the character development was lacking. I did keep turning the pages, hoping for the story to improve, but it fell flat. I would have liked to see more of a surprise ending or major plot twist.
I think this would be a good summer beach read, but would not recommend for thriller fans.
