I'm really exciting to see where this book goes! I know that it's written in multiple sections (maybe even multiple perspectives?), so I'm curious to see how it meanders. There is no crime or anything in the beginning, but just the overall feeling of impending doom. I think coupled with the fact that Alice clearly had an emotional breakdown in the recent past, this doom casting a shadow over the story is setting the reader up for something good! An unreliable narrator is always a excellent start - not only might Alice be dishonest about her reasoning, she might just be misinterpreting the actions of those around her in general! I'm curious also to know about Thomas Evans, the first husband ... is Alice responsible for his death??
