I read the excerpt a lot quicker than I anticipated because I found it not only intriguing but very relatable. I love Alice's character and she really is the perfect candidate for the 'mumsy work type'. Her children and their backgrounds are leaving me wanting to know more. What happened to Sophia's dad? I need answers already.
