I have a soft spot in my heart for YA books that involve fanfiction, probably because I read so much fanfiction and was so active in that community as an adolescent/teenager. I'm intrigued by the idea of the main character writing fanfiction about a real person - of course if superheroes were real, kids would be writing fanfiction about them and shipping them with other real-world characters. (Is Tumblr still A Thing for teenagers these days though? Makes me feel a little less old if so)

The interactions between Nick and his dad were very cute, and it's refreshing to see a story where the main character is already out to his parental figure, and said parental figure is fine with it and supportive of the main character.

This looks like a cute book and I'm excited to read it once it's released!
