God this was amazing! Longtime fans of TJ Klune’s writing will LOVE this! It’s quite obviously for a younger audience compared to some of his adult novels, but it is so funny and warm and packed with just the right amount of signature Klune-emotion that he loves to put in everything he writes. It had me hooked so quickly. The plot had unexpected twists, heart, humor and angst, and I loved every page. I adore superhero stories and to read one written by my favorite author, filled with a whole bunch of tropes I would die for, made for such a great reading experience. TJ Klune has a very familiar writing style that carries through all of his books, and it’s shown here. I think this is a perfect introduction to TJ Klune for younger readers, and I can’t wait to read it again and again.
