This book was a lovely distraction from the chaos that’s happening in the real world right now. It’s cute and sweet, and has queer teens, mental health representation, and superheroes! What more could you ask for? I really liked TJ Klune’s writing style, and it was really easy to connect to Nick as a main character. I loved piecing together the foreshadowing of the identities of the Extraordinaries before our loveably unobservant main character! I was completely thrown by the final plot twist though. I’m ready to yell at everyone I know (and even those I don’t know) to read this book as soon as it comes out! This book is absolutely five stars for me, and I can’t wait for hopefully more in the series!
