Two words: Classic Klune. This book was, dare I say, extraordinary! We meet Nick Bell, teen fan-fic enthusiast with enough random humor to match wits with the likes of Paul Auster or Sam of Wilds. Nick also has that obliviousness-to-love sickness that promotes maximum unresolved tension. Klune is very much a master at building up romantic tension. While the plot is somewhat predictable, Klune had fun with it purposely poking fun at superhero cliches and stereotypes. He also gave us a wide cast of fun, likeable characters and managed to touch upon more serious issues such as ADD and the long, lingering pain of loss.
I busted a gut reading this book and I really hope Klune decides to go for a sequel!
