Oh man this book really shocked me with how much I enjoyed it! I didn’t know what to expect going into The Extraordinaries, especially because I haven’t read any TJ Klune before, but I absolutely loved it!

Things I Liked:
- Nick as a main charter was so enjoyable to read. He was super funny (which I rarely say about books cause I usually find most attempts at humor to be pretty cringey). And while at times the jokes were a little cheesy, they still made me crack a smile. Nick does have ADHD, and it’s a big part of his character and is something he struggles with throughout the book. His concerns about his mental disorder feels so authentic, and I just wanted to give him a hug cause he was cut a cinnamon roll.
- Also he is super oblivious to his best friends massive crush on him, which could annoy some readers, but I didn’t mind it.
- All of Nicks friends were such amazing side characters, and I’d especially love a book about Gibby and Jazz cause that’s how much I loved them. And Seth is just so precious!!! I can’t express how much I adored these characters, so just trust me.
- The superhero aspect reminded me a lot of Renegades by Marissa Meyer and My Hero Academia. It was such an interesting plot point added when Nick meets his idol, but things are as black and white as Nick always thought. The message of this book was surprisingly deep, and I got really emotional towards the end.

I honestly can’t recommend this book enough, so if you’re looking with a book with a strong friendship dynamic, the cutest m/m romance, or superheroes, READ THIS BOOK.
