I wasn't keen on the excerpt from Nick's book at the beginning. I could tell that this was the fanfic writing that the synopsis had described, but it had me concerned about how the rest of the book would be written. Once we were actually introduced to Nick, though, I found the story really engaging. I hadn't expected to take an interest in a superhero book, but I am actually incredibly interested in how the story plays out.
