I’ve been interested in this book since I first saw the summary on Goodreads. The excerpt did not disappoint. It felt both modern and funny, but I’m a bit concerned with the cover. The cover speaks contemporary but I think this is more along the lines of magical realism. I thoroughly enjoyed the brief excerpt and would be anxious to read more.
