I was confused at first where the start of the book was, but when I realized that the chapter began with the fan fiction, I was pulled in. I love how different it is to anything I’ve ever read before. And I personally loved it because I also sometimes read fan fiction myself so it was relatable for me.
I hope there is more of the fan fiction writing in the book, it’s like reading two books in one, and I think that’s kind of cool. And I like how we see two different sides to the main character that way.
I believe the cover is a perfect fit for the story. I’m not sure right now who the boys on the cover are, but I do believe that when I read more of the story I will figure it out. But it’s a cover that would make me pick up the book at the store.
Now I need to finish the book because I need to know how it ends. I need to find out how Nick meets Shadow Star and what he’s going to do to try to become extraordinary. I love this story and I wish I had more of it to continue reading.
