The cover is so pretty! I know people say not to judge a book by its cover, but many people pick up a book because the cover grabbed their attention (and this one certainly grabbed mine).
Just by looking at the cover, I know that this story will be more than the extraordinary it suggests. Two boys, one pointing at the sky ("It's a bird! It's a plane!") and the other boy who looks at him and only him, no use trying to distract him. I know that this will be a sweet story.
I can't wait to read the rest of this book. I love that his father is so caring and is trying to be involved in his son's life. It makes you yearn for that kind of relationship with your parents and it's nice to see that portrayed in a YA novel especially. It's not always "they'll never understand". Sometimes it's "explain to me so that I can understand".
