My first impression of a T.J. Klune book is ALWAYS this will be a RIDE. Talk about your fanfic dream novel being published. I've been dying for a superhero romance. As if we didn't at one point wish to be Jane and get freaking Thor as your love interest.
Second Impression? I did a bad choice by choosing to read this teaser, because now I NEED THE ENTIRE NOVEL. I'm interested in both the fanfic and the actual novel.

When you get a sentence like this, "His costume was tight—black with red piping—
and showed off his strong, muscular body. He had an eight-pack. His
chest was really strong. His thighs were thick. His boots were killer," you know this is A. fanfic writer B. this is the villain but this is a fashionable villain. C. KILLER BOOTS.

Klune has a way of writing compelling characters that don't get buried in the plot, or vice versa. A plot that overshadows the characters. He's able to balance both the characters and the plot, and I can't wait to see where this story will take Nick. Also, if my suspicions are right.....
And listen that cover? EXTRAordinary
