Here's what 'happened,' and I say it like this because nothing actually happens.
But:
Water, salty water, a bath, a slow bus, names which I had to look up to know how to pronounce, and multiple point of views which I didn't really see the point of since nothing happens.
I understand that this is a novel about a father-daughter connection, but neither really connected with me as there were things that I thought "So what?" to, and while I feel sorry for things like a slow bus and the water levels rapidly climbing, I feel actually worse when it is happening to someone in real life because those people have stories about their homes, themselves, and things that are not just vapid surroundings and sad warnings disguised as slow foreshadowing.
