I was certainly pulled immediately into this book by the cover and setting alone! I love when a story takes place not in the United States, so I was immediately into the various settings introduced including Norway and France. I have read anything from this author before, but from what I can tell I really appreciate her style. I like stories of linked lives (switching between families/characters and years), so I was so delighted to see it takes place in the present and the future, but is not sci-fi (nothing against Sci-Fi just not my favorite always). I must say I am very intrigued to read more from this book!
