I am always looking for a book with alternating timelines and points-of-view and was very happy to see this book arrive, especially with the cover. Wonderful cover art that makes you want to read the book. Unfortunately, the excerpt was hard to get through and leaves me to believe the book will remain at this slow, uninviting pace throughout. I enjoyed David's perspective more than Signe's in the excerpt although I believe Signe's chapters will evolve throughout the novel
