I was hooked from the short summary and the beautiful cover art. However, when I first started it, it was kind of dull. Signe just seemed to be bumbling along, talking without really saying anything. But then when it changed to David it got more interesting, there seemed to be much more to the story. Though the two perspectives are wildly different, there's a small link between the two. Their environment. You can see the start of the heat and destruction with Signe and her glacier and feel the full force with David. I can't wait to find out how their stories match up and whether David finds the rest of his family.
