The story is told across two timelines that will eventually connect, with the 2041 father-daughter pair echoing Cormac Macarthy’s “The Road”. The novel starts out strong, with solid descriptions of the characters and setting, which immediately made me invested in the plot. I can’t wait to read the rest of this book!
