I read a few pages into the First Look and knew this book wasn't for me. It is beautifully written, and perfect for those who really enjoy descriptive scenes. I don't. I tend to "say" the words in my head while I read, and not being able to pronounce many of the names makes that difficult. Also, I tend to dislike books written in present tense. These are just personal issues, so don't take my word for it. Read it yourself and see what you think.
