Beautiful cover
First of all, the cover is so beautiful! The vivid watercolor picture draws my eye immediately and I stare, entranced.
As I start reading, the language seems beautiful. Flowing, whimsical descriptions, but not overdone and belabored. But as I continue, the story doesn't grab me; it feels boring and the language loses its appeal. The writing now feels too much like the narrator Signe - old, difficult to follow, rambly. It's unfortunate, because the description of the story sounded really good! I probably would skim along in parts, getting to the more interesting ones.
