I was hoping that this book based on the first look would have more actiony scenes but instead it is kind of a slow novel where nothing happens besides teenagers being stupid teenagers. The world was confusing to figure out and the politics were weird. The only thing I sorta liked was the cover and the love story...even if it wasn't much of a love story. It was mostly focused on this girl figuring stuff out and suddenly being rich but not actually about anything compelling besides bad politics in the world. Even if bad politics and politicians exist everywhere. The people MJ met were mostly either obsessed with her because she's next in line for the throne or mean and bullies because they weren't next in line to the throne so they were jealous against MJ. It's like every high school scene ever which was kind of annoying when I read to escape reality.
