I didn't quite like the cover, and I would probably pass just based on the cover alone. Not enough bling for my taste. In any event, I wasn't impressed with the excerpt. It wasn't like the author's prior novels like Never After or The Headmaster's List which I enjoyed. The Encanto's Daughter just didn't grab me and take me on a magical journey. The characters seemed pretty shallow to me -- not fully fleshed out and the world building was lacking. Nothing memorable for me to want to find out what happens next.
