What a great start to a series. I really like how Melissa de la Cruz started the first chapters with some action. The story really hit the ground running, which I think can sometimes be chaotic for a reader, but I think Melissa really balanced this part of the story in a way that made perfect sense.
And I always appreciate a map in these book previews. Not only are they beautiful, but it gives readers (or maybe just me) a different kind of peak into these worlds.
