I've never read anything by this author, and the premise sounded somewhat interesting (though I don't care for romances), but I just didn't connect with the writing style as shown in this sample. I realize it's geared toward a YA audience, but it actually seems a bit younger than that. The cover is pretty, but I'll pass on this one. There's likely an audience for it somewhere.
