This YA fantasy novel gets the reader's attention immediately. Although it seems like a contemporary, realistic drama of a mother and high-school-aged daughter on the run, it quickly becomes apparent that this is something much more! There are evil powers and amulets and storms that rain frogs. I enjoyed the pages that I have read so far.
