There is certainly nothing dull or slow about this story. The reader is put right into an action filled story of different factions trying to keep the young Princess from achieving her rightful destiny as Encanto or ruler of the kingdom left for her to rule after her father’s death. I’m sure more background details will come out as the story progresses. I felt there was a little bit of a void here.
The author has used some vivid descriptions to place the reader into the setting. She shows a skillful way with words and has a good imagination. This is not my favorite genre, but many will love it.
