The opening of this book immediately drew me in. The character of MJ is easy to like, at least in this first look of the book, and the world-building was easy to follow. While the writing style definitely gives me strong young adult feelings, it was easy to follow and made for a quick read.
The beginning of this story gave me strong Percy Jackson vibes (Rick Riordan), and I couldn't help but make comparisons between the two. I'm looking forward to finding out where the rest of this story goes!
