I always appreciate when a book doesn't make you work for the action - we are hit with it from the very first line of The Encanto's Daughter, and are caught up in the same whirlwind as the main character. Ideal for fans of Percy Jackson of The Folk of the Air; this book carries a similar "related to a fantastical being" theme but with its own distinct Pilipino influence.
