This was a DNF for me, unfortunately. I only got a few pages in when I realized this book was not for me, for personal reasons. The premise of the book is unique and awesome, but also a little bit too close to home with our current pandemic and I should have realized reading this book could be anxiety inducing for me, but I was also helpful it would help me conquer my pandemic anxiety. It was giving me anxiety reading about this fictional world dealing with an epidemic that ravages the whole world. However, the characters seem well rounded and developed from what I was able to read from them. But it was immediately confusing the jumping around from perspectives in the beginning. I couldn’t quite keep things straight and it took me a few minutes to work it all out. Basically, it’s my fault for DNFing this book. It seems really wonderful, just not for me.
