There is something extremely satisfying about this book. The author writes with a flow that mimics the way I think, and there is a rhythm to this story. The Electric Kingdom is a post apocalyptic novel with characters that all weave together, people that are relatable in a way that genuinely interests you in their fate. In a world where the few people left are trying to survive, a group of kids set out to accomplish an impossible mission. Through the chapters, I literally never saw the ending coming, all of the plot twists caught me completely off-guard, and I was incredibly invested in every character that was introduced. I don't want to add any spoilers in this review, because this book deserves to be read and enjoyed without any clues, letting the reader untangle the puzzle. I have read this book twice already, and it quickly became one of my favorites.
