The beginning didn't seem at first like a YA book and I was thinking of moving on until that last sentence where the reader realizes that there is more to this story. By the time then that I got to part one to Nico and her dog and to more about the flies and the farmhouse becoming part of the wild, I wanted to keep reading. I'd like to see what happens to these characters in a pandemic type story.
