I am a sucker for apocalyptic dystopian fiction and David Arnold's "The Electric Kingdom" promises to deliver!

The action, subtle humor, distinct voices, and (many) intriguing viewpoints are all apparent from the first few lines of the prologue. The First Look indicates that this will be a hard book to put down, with the reader desperately wanting to know more about the past, present, and future Arnold teases us with.

Although this book is marketed toward the YA reader, it seems to have a wide crossover appeal. I think younger readers might not connect with the premise as much (timely as it may be!), but it will likely resonate with new adults and regular readers of dystopian sci fi.
