Something about David Arnold's books resonate so deeply with me. I've read two of his other works, Mosquitoland being one of my favorite books. He really knows how to capture the human spirit in a way that I have yet to see from another author. In the first section of the book I loved the completely random series of events that occurred in the snowstorm, because life is exactly like that. Arnold takes a completely random string of occurrences that are so unpredictable and then weaves them together to form his stories, and I saw that in The Electric Kingdom. I can't wait to read it!
