The Dream Daughter was a 3.5/5⭐️ for me. I thought the storyline was different and had some sci-fi elements to it, which is always a plus for me! Carly is our main character in the story who is pregnant but her baby has a heart defect that cannot be treated in 1970. She thinks all hope is lost until her brother-in-law lets her in on a little secret.. he’s from the future! He tells her time travel is possible and he can help her save her baby if only she will trust in him. I was sucked into the story right away! About 75% of the way though, I almost lost interest and skimmed a bit because it deviated from the main plot. Thankfully, it was only a few pages and I was pulled back in. It was a beautiful story in the end and I’m glad I stuck through that bit.
