Carly Sears is a grieving widow whose pregnant with her dead husbands child. That child has a heart problem. It’s 1970 and there’s nothing doctors can do. Until her brother-in-law Hunter reveals a secret he’s been harboring that could potentially save her unborn child. Carly has to rely on strength and courage she never knew she had. What comes after she makes the decision of a lifetime is a rollercoaster. It’s also the story of what lengths a mother will go to in order to fight for the best life her child could have. I won’t say anymore other than the characters are rich, the plot was actually quite twisty and the message of parental love was the strongest I’ve ever read. I didn’t have the emotional reaction that many had (hint crying) but I could see exactly why some would. A beautiful story that I am so happy to have read!
