This was the first book I’ve read by Diane Chamberlain but it won’t be the last. I wasn’t sure I was going to like it once I realized that time travel was a big part of the story but it made the story fascinating. There were so many emotions for me as I read about Carly’s life. Something bad would seemingly be about to happen but would then work out to be okay, only to be followed by another mishap. I found myself pulling so hard for Carly and so wanting her life to work out the way it was meant to. Although it didn’t end up working out the way Carly planned, it still worked out in a great way. I loved that in the end she was able to reunite with her daughter and also with her husband, Joe. The ending left the reader with a great feeling that all was well and that Joanna, Joe, and Poppy would be a part of the rest of her life.
