I love time traveler books, and this one seems as if it is going to be a perfect fit for me. When the preview ended, I wanted to keep going and that gives me hope that I soon as I get it that it will be a one sitting read because of how the 8 pages left me feeling. I have never read a book by Diane and this has motivated me to try out one of her other books, probably after I finish The Dream Daughter. I enjoy this style of writing with how it seems to be more dialogue than it does internal monologue that a lot of books have usually. The historical aspect of this book is not too far in the past that I do not know too much about the time period and that would make that more enjoyable and would be able to grasp more about what it going on in the book and not feel so lost.

The Dream Daughter is going to be of interest to historical fiction and time traveling fans. Who would not want the opportunity that Caroline and Hunter had and that such a thing existed to be so lost in your world all because of when you are, not where you are. Caroline's journey is full of both hope, pain, grief, and shows just what a parent will do for their child even when it is not an easy decision. Even if the reader is not a parent, there are so many times in anyone's life where they are faced with impossible choices and this book is a perfect reflection of that. There are twists in this story that I did not see coming and the ending brings everything full circle and am so happy that I received this ARC from Netgalley and St. Martins Press. This should be on so many different radars and every body's TBR for 2019
