This is a novel that will capture you and have you yelling out loud at its characters. This is a book you will want other people to read so you can talk about it. This would be perfect for a book club pick or for anyone who wants a good book. This is one that will stick with you no matter who you are.
I did not know that this book was about time travel when I got it. I received a paperback arc with very little by way of a blurb. I typically don’t read about time travel, but this was fantastic. The writing captured my heart and the characters made me feel invested. Diane Chamberlain is a popular author for a reason, her storytelling skills quite phenomenal.
The plot was really cool, but what really drew me in was the characters. The best novels always have amazing characters that keep me reading. I understood Carly’s motives and found myself rooting for her along her journey. When things didn’t go to right I was crushed and when she made decisions I didn’t agree with I wanted to shake her. I want to tell everybody to read this book because it really grabs you. I can only hope that they will make this into a movie because it deserves as much attention as The Time Traveler’s Wife.
