Is this contemporary or science fiction?

I thought The Dream Daughter was definitely an intriguing novel especially when Hunter had known a song before it was released. It made me question about the genre of this novel as it was marked as "women's fiction." I was hoping for the excerpt to be a bit longer to help answer my question but alas, the preview wasn't enough. It seemed that I'll have to read the entire novel to understand the character, Hunter, a bit better.

Judging by the premise, it seems that there is more to this book than meets the eye. There is some kind of mystery to this book regarding a child. I think this preview's enough to entice readers to pick up this novel. I would recommend this story to readers who like women's fiction with a bit of mystery.
