The prologue of this new novel gets you right into the story and begins developing the characters of Carly and Hunter. The twist on the Beatles' newest song has me intrigued. It makes me wonder how it could possibly relate to Hunter and the little background the reader has been given. I am also intrigued and want to know why Hunter would have been in the situation on the roof that led to his hospitalization.
I struggled with the plausibility of Hunter reacting so strongly to Carly, and, having what little information she had been given, immediately jumping to the conclusion that she should fix her sister up with a depressed, possibly suicidal man she had just met. The author makes it clear she is young and somewhat inexperienced but it still seems a reach.
