Straight away from the first chapter I knew I was going to enjoy this one. What I didn't expect were the twists and surprises in Carly's story and the way I experienced all of the emotions along with her. I teared up as she struggled with the loss of her husband and the roller coaster ride of caring for her daughter. I smiled with joy as she did. I laughed along with Carly. It's a rare book that can make me experience the emotions of the character so viscerally.
Chamberlain certainly knows how to keep the reader on their toes. Vivid characters and a richly spellbinding plot had me enthralled to the last page. I read this in 24 hours and still wasn't ready to let go once I finished the last word. I absolutely loved it and it's going on my list of favorites!
